Nounjurisdictions
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Jurisdiction (from the Latin ius, iuris meaning "law" and dicere meaning "to speak") is the practical authority granted to a formally constituted legal body or to a political leader to deal with and make pronouncements on legal matters and, by implication, to administer justice within a defined area of responsibility. The term is also used to denote the geographical area or subject-matter to which such authority applies. Jurisdiction draws its substance from public international law, conflict of laws, constitutional law and the powers of the executive and legislative branches of government to allocate resources to best serve the needs of its native society. Q. Looking into opening a small bar/microbrewery and i am researching licenses. I have found one needs a license to brew and sell there beer, but does that same license cover other brands. I would brew a few types of my own and sell in my establishment, but naturally i would carry some name brands to balance. Asked by steve s - Fri Jun 11 16:35:37 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. All States and Countries vary with alcoholic beverage law's. Here you would need a license to brew and the license to sell which would give you freedom to sell all brands. I would think that to be the norm. One for brewing and one for selling All brands including your own. Makes sense to me.
